Below there are some general information, to help you understand the basics.

1-General lighting, provides customers with enough light to see the store and make them feel comfortable and pleasant (correct choice of Kelvin). As the operation is for many hours per day, you have to choose energy saving luminaries.

2-Accent lighting, can help highlight specific parts of a store (such as new products), an area (the entrance) or a décor (such as a piece of art). LED lights make excellent accent lighting because of their variety of beam angles, color options (Kelvin), and high CRI. Accent lighting is ideal for directing people to see the details of products or promotional material. You need free space between luminaries and products to achieve the perfect lighting result. Accent lighting is only for selected products you want to highlight, not everything. Also, you can direct clients from one place to another, especially if you want them to take a specific path throughout your store.

3-Decorative lighting is mainly for making your store look beautiful and with a unique identity. In many cases, the basic idea is the design of the luminaire and secondly the lighting result. This might be only one lighting fixture.

4-Outdoor lighting can give a character to a building, act as an advertisement for a store and offer safety to a residence. Also, it can produce various lighting effects, using different types of luminaires, wattage, Kelvin, and beam angles, always by your desire. You have to choose the correct luminaires, based on IP rating and material.

This case study is a typical example that client wins from all the advantages of LED.

Location: Patras, Greece

Date: 2015

The problem: The high power consumption of traditional metal halide bulbs, the difficulties and the cost of replacements (because of height and long hours of operation), the duration of switch on (in a sudden stop function) and the opportunity of various lighting scenarios (dimming and easy operation in various uses), were some of the basic problems 

Product characteristics: They needed a product with high quality LED (with long life and high CRI), assymetrical, fixed in a movable lighting system, with IP protection and with the possibility of dimming.

 

The result:
The economy of power consumption touches 50% in official matches and 75% at rest hours, totally about 70%. They don't have to care for scheduled maintaince and cost of replacement. They can produce various lighting effects because of management and dimming luminaires. The lighting is uniform in the whole court and the colors affected are very natural and brightest during the TV coverage ents (because of height and long hours of operation), the duration of switch on (in a sudden stop function) and the opportunity of various lighting scenarios (dimming and easy operation in various uses), were some of the basic problems .
